Crime, assault stats show DTM has become safer

In the wake of the alleged “knock out” assault on the DTM, police have released stats on police calls for service, reported incidents, simple assaults, and aggravated assaults stats for the Downtown Mall between January 1, 2013 and December 29, 2013. According to police, the DTM had a drop of 36 percent in Calls for Service, and a 38 percent drop in Reported Incidents in 2013 when compared to 2012.
