Citizen Burger Bar set for June 8 opening

Citizen Burger Bar on the DTM is set for a June 8 grand opening. They were shooting for Memorial Day, but you know how it goes. Here’s some PR:

After many weeks of construction renovation, owner Andy McClure is transforming the citizen burger bar space to embody qualities and characteristics of a modern American pub.

“Whether you are sitting at the bar, at one of our large booths, or watching your food being made in the open kitchen, you will feel like you are part of the entire restaurant,” McClure explained. “Our goal is to make citizen burger bar the ‘People’s Burger Bar.’”

McClure is focused on creating a welcoming, approachable ambiance on the Downtown Mall. citizen burger bar will epitomize comfortability and will be open for lunch, dinner, and late night 7 days a week.

“Our atmosphere may be modern, but it certainly won’t be stuffy or pretentious,” McClure said. “Our atmosphere will be driven from the customer experience side of things. Every moment you spend inside, you should feel like you are a part of everything that is going on in the restaurant.”
